I have seen this go absolutely viral over the last couple days. Ktrivz, did a really good job of explaining a piece of the puzzle. For items like art, fashion, etc - you can think of nft’s as proof of ownership or even proof of authentication.

No scammers.

More so i’d love to help you understand with a much simpler analogy. Imagine you have a dollar. Yes, a US dollar. Fungible, there is a ton. Imagine you have a a dollar signed by Eddie Murphy. Non-Fungible, that’s one of one and worth more than a regular dollar. Does that make sense?
