my obsession with crypto is big. nothing is bigger than my obsession with creators. diffusion taught me a key lesson about the world that we live in: “ creators are the tv guides to the world”. they curate content for us in an easy and understandble way but are also the new distribution networks. it’s absolutely fascinating.
wen I was building diffusion (initially) the craze was creator economy. somehow, that merged into web3. why? well

Purpose
Blockchain allows creators to take control of their content, community, and monetization methods. We want to explore ways that (xyz) can take advantage of all parts of the creator economy as he grows his brand even further. The utility of these different technologies will grow and help (xyz) do three things:
I. Find New Ways to Monetize
II. Be at the forefront of a new movement
III. Create engaged communities around his ‘values/missions’
Let’s dive into different reasons that creators would like to take advantage of crypto in the creator economy
Social Tokens
Deepen your connection with the creators you care about while interacting in new ways.
Get early and exclusive access to content, experiences, drops, and more by buying, holding, and redeeming Coins.
Coins are not limited to relationships between creators and their community. Exchange Coins with anyone without fees and build products that benefit your community.
NFT’s ( Non-Fungible Tokens)
NFT’s can unlock access to activities and exclusive assets for communities/fans
Depending on the platforms you will be able to make anywhere from 85-95% of the transaction of said digital asset. Additionally - depending on the set-up of the NFT, you will be able to setup ‘royalties’ to earn from any other sales.
Creators will be able to grant their fans with a collectible asset or asset that they can own as a form of support and as a tool of signaling.
These are some of the most common ways that creators have been getting involved in crypto but I’ll be add more examples of ways creators have capitalized on this technology. I’ll also provide some other cases and diffusion boards that explain concepts like DAO’s.
