Old Tony was an Annoying Car Salesman

When I was signing drivers up for Uber - I would follow them from the bottom floor where my kiosk was to the top floor of the mall where the food court was. Ipad in hand, pitch loaded, and not down to hear no.
how fucking annoying. Uber got hit with 10 fines for harassment and we had to stop. the better question is - why the fuck would I or anybody else do that?
what really hit home wasn’t the fines but having a mother (who to this day still shouldve signed up to drive for uber.. she had 3 kids and was single) telling me that I was ruining her day with her kids at the mall.
I changed my ways.

New Tony is a Renaissance Salesperson

Renaissance - Wikipedia

Entrepreneurial usually at early stage companies.
-Renaissance reps help their companies understand who their ideal customers are and what features are needed to best fulfill their needs.
-Ask intelligent questions, adapt their language, and refine their understanding of the product-market fit.
-Most importantly, they share their learnings with the rest of the team.
In the case of my audience, this is more a-tune to the founder. As a founder, you should always aim to be a renaissance salesperson.
