Ask: Introduce yourself by sharing a photo from your phone that makes you smileGo around the room one-by-one. Set a time if needed to help keep everyone on track.

Ask the team to write the answer to these 3 questions in silence:
What super power do you bring to the team?
What do you want to learn this year?
How can the team help you?
Take turns sharing back responses. Ask, What are three superpowers the team has in common? ​Record the answers. You’ll use these to build the Team Identity.

10 mins
Ask the team to write the answer to these 3 questions in silence:
How would you like your teammates to describe this team to friends?
How do you want other teams in the business to describe our team?
If this team had a nickname, what would it be?
Have the team silently read and vote for one in each category that is most exciting.
For questions 1 & 2, choose the three with the most votes.
For question 3, choose one with the most votes.
You’ll use these to build the Team Identity. If needed, assign one member of the team to be the tie breaker.

Assemble the Team Identity from previous answers as follows: We are [Nickname]. We’re a team of remarkable [Top 3 superpowers]. Our team is [Top 3 how friends describe us]. We have a reputation for [Top 3 how other teams describe us]. ​Reflect back what you’ve accomplished as a group and have a short discussion as time permits.

Ask everyone to silently capture: What surprised you about your team today? ​Use the remaining time to invite each person to share back what they wrote.
