Background
Let’s say we have a design agency, where each new job that comes in needs a docket number. We us this number throughout many other business processes, such as time tracking, freelancer cost allocation, and eventual invoicing (maybe many of these are managed through Coda! But that’s a demo doc for another day).
In this demo doc, we’ll explore how to:
Sync our Copper Opportunities into Coda
When a new Opportunity comes in
Generate the next available docket number in the sequence
Add that docket number to a custom field on the Opportunity
Add the docket number into the Opportunity name, so that we end up with “Opportunity Name (number)”
