Here is a long list of different fundraising event ideas that have worked well for other chapters and clubs. The best way to have a successful and effective fundraiser is to look at your own leadership team and chapter and see what talents, skills, and interests you have.

This can be a large event hosted on or off campus and can involve many different groups of people on campus. Pick fair trade brands and have stylists compile outfits in those fair trade brands.
Have a runway and get models to wear each outfit and show it off on the runway. Have judges who can judge each model's outfit and pick a winner in the end. Use the Love Holiday to advocate about modern day slavery and send rescue and protection.
Talk about and sell fair trade chocolate. “Break chains not hearts.” All You Can Eat Event
Choose to use your freedom and access to food to enter an eating competition to raise awareness and funds to fight slavery and violence.
Have prizes for the winners. Ask people to donate _____ (money amount) per _____ (food item) eaten. Bake Sale
Have people donate baked goods and host an event on campus selling them, Then, donate all the proceeds to IJM.

This gives your club members a chance to have an impact on the surrounding community and not just on campus.
Reach out to local charities, churches, schools, nursing homes, etc. Ask what work they need help with. Offer it for free but say any money given will be donated to help end modern day slavery and violence against people in poverty. You can also do a Beach Trash Cleanup or Park Trash Cleanup. Host a run and ask people to donate.
For every _____ amount donated you and the contestants will run _____ amount of miles. Or you could commit to running 12 miles and asking people to donate ___ amount per mile you run. You can also do a relay run with your chapter, where you all together run 10 miles but each person takes 1.5 miles. This bonds your chapter and gets more people involved! Not only do college kids love wearing merch, but it gives you free promotion! It can also be a great opportunity to get the art department on your campus involved to design your merch.
Local Coffee Shop
Partner with a local coffee shop.
Ask if they can sell your merchandise. Design a drink for them and ask if some of the proceeds can go towards ending Human Trafficking. Have the coffee shop stay open later one night of the week and all those proceeds goes towards IJM. Offer your people to work for them for free and get that money donated if you have any chapter members who are baristas. Host a Local Band for a Show
If you know any small name bands that are local, contact them.
Make sure you do a lot of advertising to get people to come. You get the band's fan base and be able to advocate to more people. Ask them to play a “freedom song” to talk about why they have that show that night and what it’s all about. Charge entry fee and charge for VIP backstage access! Fundraiser through Chick Fil A

Everyone who goes to Chick Fil A during the allotted amount of time and claims to be with your IJM chapter, part of the cost of their meal gets donated directly to IJM. Reach out to Chick Fil A . Sports Tournament
Host a bracketed tournament with prizes and donate the money to IJM.
Charge a cheap entry fee for teams who want to participate. Basketball Free Throw Challenge Sports Lessons
Engage different students who are skilled in a particular sport and offer lessons for that sport.
The money charged for those lessons goes directly to IJM. Game Night
Host a night of a major bracket for games with prizes.
Board games or online games (JackBox). Create brackets to find the ultimate winner. Offer prizes for the winners. Charge to play and enter the bracket. Bet on who will win each game, the betting money goes to IJM. Movie Night
Have a big movie night on campus!
Rent out a large classroom, and use the projector to play a movie. Sell snacks and popcorn for people to enjoy! Set out comfy pillows, chairs and blankets. This gives you the awesome opportunity to reach other students on campus, advocate to people who might not know about the problem of violence against people in poverty yet, and use their ideas for events! Here are a few ways you could collaborate with other clubs on campus:
Nutrition club: fair trade food. Art club: art therapy classes. Ultimate frisbee club: frisbee tournament. Film club: watch an anti-human trafficking documentary. Dessert Decorating Contest
Make a ton of basic cakes or donuts or sugar cookies and let the decorating begin!
Have allergy friendly options (gluten and dairy free). Have judges decide whose cookie is the best decorated. Offer for people to make their own frosting. Plant Sale
Plants are a trend right now so let’s use that!
Find a cheap place to buy some plants and cheap flower pots. Arrange them together yourself in a cute way and sell them. Buy the regular red clay flower pots and have your chapter paint them to make them look cute! Take clippings of succulents from other plants to pot new ones. Recycling Bottle Drive
Start this in the beginning of the semester and then donate them all at the end!
Have a designated person who is collecting the bottles, so people know who to give them to. Bring them to a recycling center and donate whatever money you make from them. Ice Cream and Root Beer Float Social
Everyone loves a social event! Why not have one that also helps end violence and oppression?

A way to get the art department involved or if you have a photographer in your chapter who is willing to offer their skills for free.
You can also do a photo shoot with your chapter to use for advertising purposes. Photo Booth
Create a photo booth that people can have fun with but that also speaks to the problems of injustice in the world.
When people take pictures and post them, it’s free advertisement. Have photo booth props that speak about the problem of human trafficking and modern day slavery, as well as ways to take action and get involved. Make signs with statistics. Let people show off their talents.
Host it on campus where people will be walking by. Try to have people sign up beforehand but also take walk ups if you have the space for it. Ask people to donate their old furniture and stuff as they clean out their dorms at the end of the semester. Have a garage sale, maybe even host it off campus in a neighborhood.
Car Wash on Campus
Make sure you have a big space (like an empty parking lot) with a place to plug in a hose.
You’ll need to bring your own hose, buckets, soap, sponges, and towels. Advertise a cheap drive through on campus car wash! College students ALWAYS have dirty cars. For an extra charge you can offer to clean the inside of their car too! You will need a vacuum, duster, cleaning spray, and hand towels. Tattoo Fundraiser Idea
This can be done entirely on social media as well.
Everyone who donates to you can submit a drawing of a tattoo. If you raise ____ amount of money, you pick from the drawings and get a tattoo on your body of it! You can submit a drawing every time you donate to incentivize people to donate multiple times. Used Book Sale
Textbooks or fun books.
Have people donate old books and host a used book sale. It could even have an old textbook section and a regular book section. When you are done you can donate the remaining books to your schools library or the local library. Haircut Fundraiser
Make sure everyone doing this one is willing to!
If you raise ___ amount of money, everyone shaves their head/gets a mullet or some crazy haircut. Also could be everyone will dye their hair a certain color.
