Terms of Fundraising

By committing to fundraise for IJM, groups agree to the following terms:
In your marketing materials and at your event, make it clear whether the money raised will be going towards your campus chapter or directly to IJM.
Please clearly display on any event announcements (fliers, emails, etc) the portion of the ticket price that will go to IJM. For example: If $10 of a $25 ticket will go to covering the cost of the event, please include a clear indication that only $15 of the $25 ticket price will go to IJM.
To fundraise for IJM, use your chapter’s fundraising page within the .
If you receive cash or check donations while fundraising:
All money raised for IJM should be sent within two weeks of fundraising.
Within two weeks of fundraising, also email with donation information (donor, school, president name and email, amount) so that it can be added to your fundraising page.
Donations should be identified in the memo line of each check. For example, if you raised funds through your campus chapter event, write “[University Name] Campus Chapter Donation.”
For tax and legal reasons, groups—including campus chapters—cannot hold bank accounts with IJM’s tax ID or using “IJM” or “International Justice Mission” in the name.
Address the return address on the package or envelope containing the donation with “[University Name] Campus Chapter Donation” as the sender name and the president’s school mailing address. Include a note in the package with your school name, the title and date of the fundraiser, your chapter president’s name and email address, and the total money raised.
If you receive donations through Venmo, you will operate on an honorary basis and transfer all donations from your personal Venmo/bank account directly and immediately to IJM via your chapter’s fundraising page. Only presidents may use their Venmo accounts for fundraising.
If contributors of a larger donation need an individual tax-deductible receipt for their portion and did not give online, you must include the following information with the donation: name of individual, address, and amount of gift.
