Ensure the chapter meets IJM chapters’ three baseline goals: one fundraiser, one advocacy campaign, and one faith-based opportunity. Serve as the main point-of-contact for IJM events on campus, or delegate to the appropriate leader. Lead regular leadership team meetings and facilitate general body meetings. Guide the recruitment and training of new leaders throughout the year, including during the Spring leadership transition process. Be in regular communication with IJM’s Mobilization Team, Simple Charity, and the chapter’s member about chapter activities through monthly meetings and periodic all-chapters gatherings. Be responsive to requests for information about chapter events, membership, or other activities. Become trained as an IJM Champion. Complete the annual IJM Affiliation Agreement (found in ) in the Fall. Maintain the chapter’s registration as a student organization on campus. Primary Goal: Recruit students on campus to pray for the work of justice.
Responsible for:
Planning events that get students to pray for the work of justice, in conjunction with IJM fall and spring campaigns. Helping resource campus ministries with prayer requests to incorporate into their weekly activities. Setting specific prayer goals and rhythms for the chapter. Following IJM’s prayer partner updates and communicating them to the leadership team. Communicating specific communications needs to the VP, Communications. Growing the prayer team and sharing responsibility with team. VP, Advocacy
Primary Goal: Recruit students to participate in advocacy initiatives for IJM.
Responsible for:
Planning events that get students to advocate for the work of justice, in conjunction with IJM campaigns (i.e. spring advocacy campaign). Setting advocacy goals for the chapter that support the national campaign. Identifying specific communications needs to the VP, Communications. Growing advocacy team and sharing responsibility with team. VP, Fundraising
Primary Goal: Recruit students to give towards sending rescue and protection through IJM.
Responsible for:
Planning chapter fundraising activities throughout the year, in conjunction with IJM fall and spring campaigns. Setting specific fundraising goals for the chapter. Leading efforts to recruit new . Working with the VP, Communications and VP, Campus Outreach for maximum participation in fundraising events. Growing the fundraising team and sharing responsibility with team members. Primary Goal: Leverage a variety of communications channels to ensure the team’s successful execution of their goals.
Responsible for:
Developing all online and offline communications to support team goals. This can include promotional materials, social media posts, growing an email list, communication with team members, and more. Following IJM brand guidelines (review ). Helping lead recruitment efforts and production of materials for events. Record meeting minutes and take notes of the content of the meetings. Log account information and managers for the chapter’s social media. Growing communications team and sharing responsibility with team members. VP, Campus Outreach
Primary Goal: Ensure that as many campus ministries or organizations as possible are actively involved in partnering with the IJM chapter.
Responsible for:
Developing and maintaining partnership-centric relationships with campus ministries and other student organizations. Communicating campus chapter events/campaigns to these ministries and organizations as early as possible. Delivering communications resources to the ministries and organizations for event promotion (videos, announcements, PowerPoint slides, flyers, etc). Growing the campus outreach team and sharing responsibility with team members.
