Chapter Messaging

General guidelines to get you started on sharing about your chapter.

Primary Chapter Message

Together with [your campus], join this national movement to fight modern-day slavery and create a safe future that lasts.

Secondary messages to incorporate as you share about your chapter

Responding to God’s heart for justice: IJM staff are inspired by their Christian faith and God’s call to seek justice for people in oppression. IJM seeks to serve all people who are oppressed, without regard to religion or any other factor. *Discern when it is best to explain this if speaking to a mixed or non-Christian audience.
Accessible action: Wherever you are, you can make a difference. Whether you want to lead with us throughout your time in college or take part in one campaign, there is a place for you to make a difference.
Supportive community: Whether through a local chapter or being part of a national movement of students, you are not alone.
Personal growth: IJM will help you grow as a leader as you take steps to mobilize your campus and live out God’s call to protect those in oppression.
A lifetime of impact: Your engagement creates lasting change, and IJM will continue to work in this fight for as long as it takes. Wherever your life takes you, you can stay in the fight with us.
Note: Emphasize involvement in solving the problem of injustice, NOT simply supporting IJM's work or being involved in a chapter. Connect them to the bigger picture. You are not creating IJM fan clubs or injustice awareness groups—you are team members in the fight.
