The ninth chapter of YİGŞ regulates the acceptance process, spanning from the completion of the contractor's work to the final acceptance and return of the performance guarantee, covered in Articles 41 to 45. According to Article 41, once the work is completed in accordance with the contract and its annexes, the contractor must apply in writing for the provisional acceptance. A building inspection officer then conducts a preliminary review of the work, documented by a report. It's mandatory for the contractor to be present during this review; however, if the contractor is absent, the officer completes the inspection unilaterally and notes the absence in the report. The chapter also outlines the legislation, documents, personnel involved, inspection, and decisions, reports, and opinions related to the construction work inspection and acceptance process.

YİGŞ’nin dokuzuncu bölümünde kabul işlemleri düzenlenmiştir. Bu bölüm 41 ve 45’inci maddeleri boyunca yüklenicinin işi tamamlamasından kesin kabulün yapılıp kesin teminatın iadesine kadar olan süreci işlemektedir.

41’inci maddeye göre; taahhüt edilen iş, sözleşme ve eklerinde yer alan hükümlere uygun olarak tamamlandığında yüklenici idareye geçici kabulün yapılması için yazılı olarak başvuruda bulunur. Bu başvurudan sonra yapı denetim görevlisi tarafından iş bir ön incelemeden geçirilecek ve inceleme sonucu bir tutanağa bağlanacaktır. Bu inceleme sırasında yüklenicinin bulunması zorunlu olmakla birlikte yüklenici hazır bulunmazsa yapı denetim görevlisi incelemeyi tek taraflı olarak sonuçlandırır ve bu hususa tutanakta yer verir.
