Day 1

Hey, it’s DAY 1 of scholarship school.
Let’s begin.

Question for you:
Let’s say you email a college coach, and he responds.
What is your follow up strategy to turn that initial response into a scholarship offer?
Do you have one?
After working with athletes & parents for 6+ years, this is the most common mistake of all.
No one has a plan.
Everyone blindly follows generic advice like...
Go to showcases
Blast emails out
Make recruiting videos
...without understanding how these things work together.
It’s like setting up dominoes 3 feet apart from each other — thinking they’ll knock each other over.
It doesn’t work like that.
If we’re being honest, generic advice has gotten us into the predicament we’re in now.
I mean, I’m guessing you’re not reading this email because you have 20 scholarship offers?
You’re probably doing what you’re “supposed to do”...and not seeing results.
Or you’re an underclassmen and don’t want to end up in a situation with your back against the wall.
Don’t worry — you’re not alone.
And the good news is, we have the solution.

Without a strategy, you’re going to waste a lot of money on showcases that do nothing for you.
Without a strategy, you’re going to send 100s of emails, with zero response.
Without a strategy — 1 year from today — you’re going to be in the same spot you’re in right now.
And that can’t happen.
After all, you only have so much time to earn a scholarship.
So here’s what we’re going to do...

I have a strategy that works.
Recently, I gave it to a few athletes...and this is what happened for them.
Tyler — went from 3 interested schools to more than a dozen.
Serena — committed to her top school.
Andrew — added 10 additional interested schools.
Jocelyn — committed to play D1 basketball.
And now, I want to give it to you.

This video breaks down the strategy.
I’m sure you’ve heard of coaches “connecting” athletes with schools?
It sounds great, but tomorrow I’ll show you why this is so dangerous.
And what you should do instead.
After all, why would you ever put your future (or your kid’s future) in someone else’s hands?

Talk tomorrow.

Jack from D1 Scholarship

P.S. What’s your biggest fear in the scholarship process?
For most parents, it’s the fear of not knowing.
Not knowing if your kid’s good enough.
Not knowing if you’re sending the right email.
Not knowing what to do.
We’re here to crush that fear, and how you exactly how you can get more interest from college coaches and get a scholarship to a school that you LOVE.
See you tomorrow.
