on the blindly podcast Jul 17th “ says the rules for being a real Seanchaí” 6 mins in. Seanchaí ..(old lore keeper.) They would have to be formally trained by another Seanchaí. It was originally a servant of a Nobel lineages and kept track of important information for them: laws, genealogies, annals, literature. After the destruction of Gaelic civilization in the 1600s as a result of the English conquests, these more formal roles ceased to exist and the term seanchaí came to be associated instead with traditional storytellers from the lower classes

There was a woman called “Patricia Fallon” who wrote about the murder on the website but she doesn't work there anymore. There might be someone in the Archives who could help with transcripts

you would need to come in and consult hard copy finding aids in our reading room at Bishop Street. As a minimum, you need to know the type of court and its location (e.g. Circuit/District, city/town), and the time (month/year) when a trial was held or a sentence given. Then, you will need to use our lists to see whether we hold indexes (often called 'cause books') from the particular court, and that year. If we do, you will typically order those indexes over to our Reading Room (they are held offsite) and come in to look whether you can find the reference number for a case file.

From “The burning” References:
25 National Archives, Dublin, Misc. 1618.910. Petition, July 1905. Johanna Burke's testimony corroborates Cleary's version of events.
No quotes in the book but file might have something relevant

5 National Archives, Dublin, CBS, 1895, 9786/S.
Book Just mentions photos but there could be something else in the original docs

Other files in archives

Crown files at assize 1895 1c/12/5.

All very relevant but illegible
This contains statements of the accused. Handwriting is very hard to read.
Also depositions- again almost impossible to read,

Tipperary crown files and quarter sessions.

Didn’t find anything but I didn’t look that deeply.
Contains 4 bunches of docs, seemed to be bunched by season/quater

Crown books at Asizes south 1 riding 1894-1914. 2 North+ South riding 1915. 1c /85/2
This contains 2 large books of court proceedings
I found the case about 30 pages in. Doesn’t seems to have a date on the case. But it just has the accused names and pleadings.i m
a few pages later it has the rulings and sentences. Gives date as 4th July 1895
The burning of Bridget Cleary book, has written notes by Michael from the Archive. Fo example Ch 4 Bridget Cleary Falls ill Reference 25, National Archives Dublin Misc 1619.910.Petition Jul 1905. Where he complains about the doctor.
