If people or vehicles appear overly pixelated, the stream may be over-compressed. Excessive compression can hinder AI models from accurately re-identifying individuals or vehicles throughout their journey.

Camera Placement & Positioning

Vision AI performs best when it has a clear, unobstructed view of people and vehicles. Occlusions, poor angles, or partial views can significantly reduce detection accuracy.
Best Practices:
Ensure a clear view of vehicles at both entry and exit points of the drive-thru.
Avoid occlusions—keep the camera’s line of sight free from obstructions.
Position cameras to prevent subjects from being cut off at the edges of the frame.
Maintain visibility of vehicles throughout the entire drive-thru journey.
Ensure clear coverage of linebusters, including all areas where they may appear.
Camera placement that allows for viewing linebusters from the driver’s side of the vehicle for optimal visibility.
When possible, avoid stopping points (e.g. menu board, pickup window) to be at the edge of the camera
