Savi Edge Setup

Installation of the Savi Edge device depends on the availability of camera channel ports on the NVR (Network Video Recorder). Please follow the instructions that apply to your setup:

Option 1 - NVR has available camera ports

Savi Edge Setup

Connect the Savi Edge to power using a USB-C cable.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the Savi Edge's Ethernet port and plug the other end into the network router.
Insert a USB-to-Ethernet adapter into one of the Savi Edge's USB ports.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the adapter and plug the other end into one of the available channel ports on the NVR.
⚠️ Important: Be sure to connect the Ethernet cable to a channel port on the NVR — not the dedicated camera network port (sometimes labeled “Camera”).

NVR Setup

Ensure the NVR is connected to the network by running an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the NVR to the network router.

Insert a USB-to-Ethernet adapter into one of the Savi Edge's USB ports.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the adapter and plug the other end into an unmanaged network switch.

NVR Setup

Ensure the NVR is connected to the network by running an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the NVR to the network router.
Disconnect one of the cameras currently plugged into a channel port on the NVR, and move that camera to the unmanaged network switch.

Unmanaged Network Switch Setup

Connect an Ethernet cable from the unmanaged network switch to the now-available channel port on the NVR.
