By completing the following tasks internally over the next few weeks, you will significantly enhance your search appearance and indexing while you plan for a bigger investment in a couple of months.
You will need to learn some basic Google Analytics and Google Search Console skills, but lessons are easily available on Google and YouTube.
Connect Google Analytics to your website. As the website is WordPress, you can use the
(free). This will help you visualise your keyword rankings and technical performance with a simple dashboard.
Create a visual sitemap. Use this to plan your overall website structure and page/post hierarchies. Use the sections in the “52 Pages & Posts” sheet as a reference, with a main navigation bar as the base of your sitemap.
Register a Google Business Profile. Fill in the basic information about Data Zen and what you offer. Include your business address, social links, etc. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials on this.
Change the home page SEO title. It’s currently “Homepage - getdatazen.com.” Switch to something like “Business Intelligence for E-Commerce and Marketing Agencies Made Easy | Data Zen”.
Delete and de-index the junk pages. Use WordPress and Google Search Console to ensure the 404 Pages, 301 Redirects, and Orphan Pages on the technical audit are completely wiped from the internet.
In total, this work should take no more than 2 days. But allow a day for learning how to use the various tools.
If you prefer, I can dedicate 2 standalone days to complete the list and transfer ownership of various accounts over to you when I’m done.
Learning Google Analytics
Honestly, the best resource here is YouTube. Just type whatever you’re trying to solve or achieve, and you should find a video, as long as it’s basic.
Alternatively, here are the best free SEO courses:
Limited paid ads. To start testing campaigns on a small budget.
This way, we have more flexibility to start hitting quick technical and local SEO wins and potentially add another channel, without waiting for your budget to increase, and leaving the website stagnant in the meantime.
We can start from mid-June.
And to reiterate, there’s no minimum for the daily rate. If you only need me one day a month, I’m available. 🙂
Referrals + White Labeling
I’m setting up my referral engine for June, so I will confirm with you before the end of May.
I’ll formalize everything over the coming weeks and reach out re. an introduction.
Alternatively, if you feel there is value for your clients in the work I’ve done, I’d be thrilled to partner with you as a white label provider. This way, you’re offering an additional service as an upsell and can benefit from sharing the revenue, too.
We would obviously need to set some quality guidelines, rules, and revenue share, but it’s something I’m happy and excited to explore.
