When the Soviets found the camps the Nazis left the belongings of their prisoners in the camps leaving evidence of what had happen there the Soviets found thousands of men's suits, more than 800,000 women’s garments, and more than 14,000 pounds of human hair, and 110,000 pairs of shoes left behide. The shoes were very important to the prisoners because of the working condition they had shoes were needed for the harsh outside work so those who had a bad pair could get wound that would get infected so people ended up stealing each others shoes.
