Majdanek

Majdanek was the first concentration camp to be freed July 24 1944 in Lublin, Poland by Soviet Red Army who had no idea that the camps even existed let along how many people had been trapped and killed there. Majdanek was originally made to be a storage depot but later became a killing center around March 1942 the gas chambers began in Majdanek September 1942 where Zyklon B was used.
