As the Soviets and Allies started to corner in on the Nazis near the end of the war they tried covering their tracks by sending prisoners on death marches that would end up killing most of the prisoners the Nazis did this so survivors couldn’t tell their stories. The Nazis also tried moving all the belongings that they had took from prisoners’ and destroy the building in the camps before evacuating even forcing prisoners’ to help destroy evidence of the camp life.
