Medicaid / Apple Health / CHIP

Medicaid, or Apple Health, provides health insurance coverage for low-income people.
Income limits for Medicaid eligibility are based on household size:
1 person - $18,075
2 people - $24,353
3 people - $30,630
4 people - $36,908
Important Note: Income limits for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are more than double the limits for Apple Health.

Olympia Free Clinic

The Olympia Free Clinic provides medical, mental health, and specialty care services to uninsured and underinsured adults at no cost to the patient. Eligible individuals include adults (18+ years of age) who are uninsured or "underinsured." They consider you to be underinsured if:
you are covered by Medicare or Medicaid and are unable to get an appointment with a provider;
you are privately insured, but are unable to afford your deductible or co-pays;
your insurance does not cover medically necessary care; or
there is a demonstrated lack of community resources for the care you are seeking.
The Olympia Free Clinic’s goal is to treat immediate needs and help people find long-term health care. They will assist by connecting people to appropriate community health resources.
Clinic Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-8 PM and Fridays, 11 AM-2 PM
General Medical Care: Call for an appointment or walk-in on Mondays or Wednesdays, 5-7 PM, or Fridays, 11 AM-1 PM
Psychiatric Care (Medications) & Counseling: By appointment only. Call or walk-in during clinic hours to schedule an appointment.
Reproductive & Gender Health Clinic: By appointment only, 1st Monday of the month. Call or walk-in during clinic hours to schedule an appointment.
Physical Therapy: By appointment only, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Call or walk-in during clinic hours to schedule an appointment.

Providence Intensive Case Management

Certified Peer Counselors at the Providence Community Care Center provide case management and care coordination for people who are high utilizers of hospital services. For more information call 360-515-5646

Pierce County AIDS Foundation

PCAF offers medical case management and client care coordination for people living with HIV in the South Sound region. Their case managers work with people to increase access to medical care, prescription medications, and health insurance. Services include care coordination, housing services, groceries, mental health services, financial assistance, and support groups.

In-Home Care

The DSHS office of Home and Community Services provides assessment and referral for in-home care. This program is for people who have disabilities that prevent them from conducting “Activities of Daily Living” (ADLs - eating, bathing, toilet use, cleaning, etc) without assistance. Both physical and mental impairments can impact ADLs.

Provides prompt medical attention after an assault from forensic nurse examiners in the emergency department of St. Peters Hospital. The cost is covered by WA Crime Victim’s Compensation program at no cost to the patient.
