By reading this wiki website, you will gain knowledge and background about our company to relay our mission to our customers effectively.
This wiki explains how our smart compost bins work, and the process of areobic decomposition.
As you are part of the Rot and Roll Composting marketing team, your knowledge of our company and our products is imperative to the fact that you will be advertising them. You will be using wiki to relay any and all information about our company to customers. You must relay how the bins work and the benefits they bring to the environment. By marketing our smart bins, knowing the process of areobic decompostion, and interacting with customers, you are now a key asset to the upbringing of Rot and Roll Composting!
Coda is the platform used for Rot and Roll Composting. Coda allows you to integrate and design documents into a customizable workspace.
Wiki Guidelines:
Remain Informative: all information on the wiki page should be informational. Particularly about our mission and products
Understand Your Audience: the audience is any potential or current customer.
Engage: be insightful and engaging.
Authentic: be transparent and truthful about the company products or process
Accurate: all information must be up-to-date and factual.
Creating a Wiki Page:
1. Open Coda.io: You will have a free account with your company email
Make sure to add your wiki entry directly to this wiki as it is our companies wiki.
3. Decide on a layout for the wiki: it should follow previous company wiki structure
Look at: Next Two pages as referance.
4. Add content: Should be specific to Rot and Roll Composting.
Include the following for each entry:
Title: Name the pages and any headings
Body Information: be informative and add information directly relating to the topic. Make it engaging with images, videos, and media.
Format logistics: Headings (H1 & H2), formatting tools, list, dropdowns, lines, callouts, etc.
Remember you are apart of the marketing team you goal is to produce a postive image of Rot & Roll Composting that draw in customers.
5. Enable and Welcome Collaboration
click “share” and adjust the settings to allow your coworkers to contribute to your work
We want you to produce your best work and by having your coworkers help and contritute to your work we can ensure this!
6. Create Navigation Link: this will make the wiki more professional and easier to maneuver.
These navigation links can be found under the “building blocks” tab when you push “insert”
7. Publish the Wiki
click the “share” button and adjust the settings to publish it.
Allow anyone in our “workspace” to edit the document.
We want all the of your work to be published to this wiki. You are just contributing to the already exsiting wikis
8. Update Regularly
You will need to keep your wiki up to date and add new content regularly.
Any changes with in the company will need to be directly change inside the wiki as well.
Wiki Tips
When you first open Coda there is a tab “Resources for You”. This feature provides option on how to navigate Coda.
These features include: Codas new resource hub, How to build a team, HOw to run better meetings on coda, and a video course, etc.
Organizing Documents
You can use folders to separate your work into specifc categories
Search Bar
There is a search engine on you homepage where you can directly search any documents you have created
There is also a search bar in the document itself where you can search certain elements to add to your wiki. For example push “insert” then type in “checklist” to add a checklist to your document efficently.
Saving
Coda should automatically save but you can view any previous version of your document by checking the document history.
