This section provides information about the functions of our Smart Composting Bins.
Smart composting bins are a composting solution that incorporates technology to enhance the composting process. The bin achieves this by utilizing sensors, automated mixing, and odor control all while increasing the composting speed.
With the Smart composting bins being the product at the forefront of the company it is imperative to show how the product works. The smart composting bin is a sufficient alternative to traditional composting methods and waste management systems.
Features:
Sensors: within the bin itself it houses several sensors each specific to a function. They are dedicated to temperature monitoring, moisture measurement, oxygen levels, pH levels, and weight levels. Solar Panels: Solar panels are the main source of energy for every working component within the bin. The bins will not need extra sources of energy in order to perform its function. Inlet Provision: the inlet provision will be located at the upper side of the bin where the organic waste is dropped into. It limit exposure to outside air, which helps contain orders and keeps any pests out. It also helps maintain the internal conditions of the bin so that the decomposing can take place. Shaft and Blade Assembly: The shaft and blade assembly provides a revolving movement in a vertical position which will rotate organic material within the bin. It is powered by a geared motor powered by the solar panels. The sole purpose of the assembly is to reduce the size of waste and speed up the composting process. Hot Water Sprinkling Arrangement: Composting bins need to maintain a specific temperature of 130 to 160 Fahrenheit. This is the optimal rant for microbial activity in which will decompose organic matter at a faster rate. Hot water will be sprinkled inside the bin through the sprinkling arrangement. Collecting Pan: the pan’s main purpose is to collect solid fertilizer for plants. The pan also captures excess moisture that drains from the compost. This helps prevent pooling, keeping the right moisture balance within the compost. Outlet Provision: the outlet allows for drainage and a way to harvest finished compost. It is an easily assessableport in which finished compost is removed.
Smart Bin Specifications
We have two smart bins. One specifcally for cities and smaller ones designed for home settings. Both serve the same function with different scales.
Option 1- City Composting Bin:

The larger bin is design for cities settings and is fully accessible.
Option 2- Kitchen Composting Bin
