🎬 This video shows just a small sample of the work we do at EdPlus. Find more project details listed below.
Dreamscape Learn (DSL)
Dreamscape Learn is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, merging the most advanced pedagogy with the entertainment industry’s best emotional storytelling. Our team currently manages all UX design for DSL (pod sign-in displays, Canvas Field Guides, etc.), as well as editing 3D assets for web. Upcoming work includes the design and development of a 2D interactive genetics simulation within the Alien Zoo, and work on the Virtual Classroom.
The Polynesian Voyaging Society (PVS) is an organization based in Hawai’i established to research and perpetuate traditional Polynesian voyaging methods. PVS has partnered with ASU for numerous initiatives, including leveraging our team to build various XR experiences to spread their knowledge at a global scale. Proposed projects include a VR sailing simulation, Hall of Teachers experience, Star Compass of Values, AR Portals of PVS, VR Star Wayfinding lessons, and Wayfinders 360 Video on the web.
The Geodesign project is an online simulation that replicates a traditionally in-person activity where students assume the role of a stakeholder tasked with collaborating together to reach a design decision in an urban planning workshop. Our experience focuses on giving students a chance to practice compromising and negotiating in a choose-your-own-adventure style, asynchronous experience. This project is a great example of how our team can serve the online population of ASUO students and bring faculty’s vision to life.
Kendall and Auryan were featured alongside course faculty and instructional designers on a podcast episode produced by the EdPlus IDNM team for the Geodesign project!
Room 222 at Skysong, commonly known as the X-Lab, is a space at the office designed by and for the team members of Split Studio. The room contains a large projector to cast from our VR headsets, which provides room to do testing on the experiences we are designing. The space is also a hotspot for EdPlus tours. There’s a touch display on the wall that features various webpages highlighting EdPlus’s portfolio of work, including Dreamscape Learn, ASU Online, Starbucks, and Uber.
Outside of creating immersive learning content, our team has produced numerous augmented reality (AR) experiences to serve as a marketing tool for a variety of products or initiatives. We have previously used AR tools such as Adobe Aero, Spark AR, Snap Lens Studio, and most recently: 8thWall. 8thWall is a leader in WebAR (web-based augmented reality), allowing us to produce experiences with no additional app downloads required for users.
Another modality for delivering immersive educational content is 360° video. With 360° video, students can control the perspective and look around the scene, making it an interactive experience. Producing 360 video also allows us to deliver content that is accessible on a full spectrum of devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers and VR. Our team leverages 360° video content to transport students to a new environment without needing to digitally recreate an existing space.
We’ve got some exciting work coming down the pipeline.

Work Tiers
Split Studio has competencies in UX design, game design, XR development, 3D design & animation, graphic design, motion graphics & video editing, and AI. To suit different project needs, our work is grouped into five tiers that vary in complexity, time and resources.
Tier 1
Immersive Asset Creation (Simple)
3D models and other immersive assets that can be accessed on the web and integrated into an online course.
Large-scale immersive experiences developed with deep interaction and advanced game design. These produce high level of immersion and engagement, and often require a significant amount of time and resources to develop.
