No need to install the tools below as you’ll be introduced to these early on in your onboarding by N-Tech, but we just want to note that the following apps will become staples of your day-to-day work:

Gmail⁠

- We recommend creating labels to help keep your inbox organized! It’s way easier to start this now!

Google Calendar⁠

- We recommend accepting or declining invites at your earliest convenience to other can find time with you when needed.

Google Meet⁠

- Our primary videoconferencing tool; while we do have a

Zoom account at Netflix⁠

, we typically only use it when dealing with someone or an organisation outside of Netflix who uses it. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when using Google Meet:

Use the

hand raise⁠

feature when you have a point to make.

Use the mute button liberally; it helps keep distracting noises to a minimum and also indicates that you are not speaking or that you have nothing to add in the moment. After going off mute, it is common for someone to call out, “I saw you just went off mute, did you have something to say?” And don’t worry, you will have a “you are still muted” moment at a time you do intend to speak! 😂

Slack

N-Tech may have had you download this already, but if not

. Slack is a messaging application where you can speak to folks 1:1 (one on one) via a DM (direct message), or you can join a channel — there are public channels anyone can join and private channels (🔒 ) that are available to only people. If you would like to learn how to use Slack,
