Week 5

This week started off a lot better. Monday I got up and went to TA. The class was working on a lab that was reading different points on the board and reading them on a voltmeter they also had to build an electrical board and get the lights to come on. Then in aviation security we talked about where security is the weakest at airports. After that I wrapped up for the day.

Tuesday I went into work 7-9:30am then I had class right after. We discussed waivers and the article that we read. After that we went to lab and we had to repair the ESCs so the motors would sink up and then turn on at the same time, we had some problems the first few times with throttle dead zone and then the motors not turning on at the same time which led to them being the wrong speed. We figured out that the throttle kill switch was on so we fixed that and then tried to sink them again and it worked. After lab I had to go to my AT362 class we finally were able to partner with an airport and we were out of the distressed zone.

Wednesday was my long day and I had Lecture first and we had to get through two of them because Hupy is going to Peru and we are alone for the next two weeks in lecture and lab. We then Went to AT 335 and we did another simulator lab and learned about IAPS. After that we went too AT381 and he discussed the debates and case studies that we have to do for class, however I am exempt because I took the airport security coordinator course. After that we went to AT319 and worked on the lab, it actually worked out well becaue at first it looked horribly awful but once I got home and really buckled down it worked well.

Thursday was fine I kind of got up later than I wanted but no big deal. I went to AT335 and then we learned more in depth about the IAPS and then we went to AT 219 We talked about UTM’s and how drones are creating a new detect and avoid system. We gave professor rose his mug an then I had an advising meeting afterwards and that didn’t go so well. After that we went and did our press conference in AT362 and then discussed that we were going to partner with a different airport. After that I had work and then stayed until 2am because DNR flights are happening. It was fine but then I had to go and shower and pack and I was up fairly late.

Friday I didn’t have class so I brought my family friend back home from college and then Me and Luke went to chicago for a rug tufting class, and dinner!!
