🎉 Congrats on your new purchase! You're going to love your new Tesla!
As a new Tesla owner, I found I had to keep track of a handful of tasks to complete to make the most of my new purchase. Use this checklist to keep track of everything you need to do or buy to get the most out of your new car! This includes rebates to fill out, apps to install, and accessories to purchase. The doc also has tips on getting the most out of your battery life, how to access the fun Easter Eggs that come with your Tesla, and how to keep your Tesla looking like new!

What should be on my Tesla Model Y pickup checklist?

When your Tesla Model Y arrives, make sure to check for:
Scratches, smudges, trim stains, and dents
Headlight and tail light fit
Defects inside the trunk and frunk
Uneven panel gaps
All wheels and doors
Charging port in front of the driver seat and wireless charging on both sides
Interior lights, puddle lights, and brake lights

How long does it take to get a model Y?

Delivery times depend on a specific model, and Tesla Model Y takes on average 5 to 7 weeks. However, multiple factors affect delivery time, which is why it is best to always ask about a delivery day when you order your preferred model.

What is the difference between Tesla Model Y and Model X?

Some of the key differences between Tesla Model Y and Model X include:
Tesla Model Y is cheaper than Model X
Tesla Model X delivers up to 335 miles, while Model Y offers around 303 miles
Model Y features a USB-C charge port in the glovebox
Model X has more storage space in the trunk
Model X features a 17-inch touchscreen, while Model Y comes with a 15-inch center console
Model X features a second touchscreen in the back seat
Model X comes with heated seats, steering wheel, and wiper blade defrosters
Both models come with a glass roof

Should I get the Tesla Model Y or Tesla Model 3?

To decide whether Tesla Model Y or Model 3 is a better fit for you, consider the following differences:
Tesla Model 3 is a sedan, and Model Y is a hatchback SUV
Tesla Model 3 has a smaller trunk (15 cubic feet vs. Model Ys 36 cubic feet)
Tesla Model Y allows you to set up the third row behind the back seats & fit seven people in the car
Tesla Model 3 features a 72kWh battery, while Model 3 comes with a 52kWh battery. Note that Tesla Model 3 Long Range features an 82kWh battery
You can use a supercharger with Tesla Model 3 and can gain 175 supercharger miles in 15 minutes, compared to only 162 miles for the same time on Tesla Model Y
Both models come with a basic autopilot, autonomous steering, blind-spot detector and signal lights, lane assist & other features included in the standard Tesla suite.
