How do promotions work at Luxury Presence?

Promotions are evaluated and granted during performance review cycles, in the end and mid point of the year.
An exception to this rule is for functional promotions, which can happen any time of the year — i.e.: if there is a need for a team manager/lead and we choose to promote from within the company.
With rare exceptions, employees who have been with the company or in their current role or level less than 6 months are not eligible for a promotion. This is because we believe this is the minimum time needed to demonstrate impact in your current role.
We promote based on merit, not based on tenure.

How do I apply for a promotion?

The first step is to talk to your manager. We encourage you to feel comfortable bringing up this topic, and your manager should work with you to outline a roadmap for this promotion.
I find it useful to frame the conversation the following way:
“What do I need to demonstrate in the next [x time frame] to show that I am ready for a promotion?”
You can use this career matrix as a roadmap to inform what areas you need to focus on, and your 1:1’s with your manager as check ins on progress against your goals.
In the end, promotions should not feel like a ‘surprise’. It is your manager’s responsibility to provide you the information, guidance and opportunities, but it is ultimately your responsibility to advocate for your career, do the work, and demonstrate impact.
