TO-DO: Tom to ask George about approving people at the different gates
To Discuss: Michael’s observed/predicted challenges and concerns - can we get ahead of these?
Both sides have very soft incentives to participate, which can lead to de-prioritization whenever anything arises in their lives
Mentors who don’t get picked right away will be discouraged
Mentors misunderstanding the demand dynamic:
Concern comes from Mark’s text:
“I think we need to be careful pulling together a list of celebrities, events, and other fancy attractions for lack of a better word. I need to focus on the mentees to desire for growth and improvement.
I do understand we are competing for time, but I want to make sure we’re not losing the focus helping young men find their way to heaven. We need to understand and focus on their primary apostolate , which is their family and faith.
I think we need to focus more on amazing life events and mentors have experience for God is truly impacted them and showing up as an active participant in their lives. I know for me there are dozens of these events, and I’ve shared them over the years with young men and women I have mentored - over the last 15 to 20 years I’ve mentored dozens of young men and women and been trained on coaching and mentoring. The consistent and overwhelming characteristic in a mentor is that the mentee sees something in them they aspire to or a desire.”
We’re not a problem in search for a solution (like typical mentorship relationships).
We’re a solution in search of a problem.
Mentees are more “passively interested” and our goal is to get them “actively interested”
Pre-evangelize > Evangelize > Catechize
Win > Build > Send
Floating > Passively Pursuing > Actively Pursuing > Convicted
Mentors saying they only want to mentor mentees that are proactive/driven (those ones are the ones who will be fine and don’t need the help most) - need to meet mentees where they’re at.
Mentee onboarding - FYI

Website:

6. Admin
To-Discuss: go/no-go on tech platforms
Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, etc.) - or do we use our personal accounts?
Pros: dedicated branding
Cons: if we need to get rid of it in the future, all is lost or needs to be transferred to personal accounts.
Decision: Keep
Asana - self-manage until becomes unsustainable
Threads - I think we already decided to discontinue
Coda (worth keeping in my opinion)
Slack (worth keeping in my opinion)
Thinkific (keep because critical to training)
Squarespace (keep because easy to use and critical to branding)
Typeform (keep for now since it's used as our form. Consider switching if we integrate with another form that integrates with our CRM directly)
Odder AI - Not sure if this was just being used by Inoh or if we had a business account.
Vowel Meeting - replace with Zoom?
Pros: auto-records calls
Cons: potential tech issues from the learning curve for participants.
Miro: user experience visuals (TBD)
