Let’s say you use two kinds of chocolate chips. You will need to call one “chocolate chips” and the other “dark choc chips” or something along those lines.
List all of your single ingredients here, including ingredients that make up your subrecipes. (For example, cake starter is the name of a subrecipe, but it is made of sugar, butter, eggs, and brown sugar.)
Fill out ingredient name along with: purchase in lbs OR purchase in grams, purchase price, and supplier.
You can use the blue button to open a row on the table, or enter directly in the table below.

If you have a subrecipe, enter a name for it now using the Add subrecipe button or add it directly to the view subrecipes only table below. The subrecipe toggle will toggle on.
You will then build the subrecipe after listing all of the single ingredients, on the Add Subrecipe page.
Do not add price per gram or subrecipe items here. Enter the “name” only under Ingredient.
This will make the “subrecipe” an ingredient that you can use in recipes. The cost of the subrecipe will adjust with price changes, just like any other ingredient.
