Discovery & Context

The Future Book concept emphasises the importance of presenting relevant information in context with the user's current activities or learning objectives. This contextual awareness allows for:
Dynamic linking between resources
Grounded information presentation
Adaptive content delivery based on the user's needs and progress
The system could potentially incorporate advanced search and retrieval mechanisms, similar to Perplexity-style RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) searching, but within the rich context of the Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUPA) resources.

Domains of Context

A key issue to solve is supporting a teacher finding what they need. With the huge amount of content that Cambridge Press how do we best present that to be of most value to the user?
Blank slate, access to everything
This can be a daunting prospect
Access to all content for comprehensive lesson planning and curriculum development.
Whole book, all pages
Overview of entire textbook or course for cohesive unit planning and identifying cross-chapter connections.
Whole page or selected content
Focused context for specific topics or concepts to enhance in-depth teaching and clarification.
These domains enable teachers to access appropriate context at various levels, supporting efficient lesson preparation, adaptive teaching strategies, and comprehensive subject understanding.
