Traveling & How to get there

VERY IMPORTANT! CONSIDER THESE WHILE PLANNING YOUR TRAVEL

📅 We ask you to arrive to Keszthely (railway stations/bus stations) ⌚Not later than 9 pm on the 26th of April and to leave the camp⌚Not later than 10 am on 11st May 2024, and don’t leave any mess behind yourself.

About entering Hungary

There are currently no restrictions due to Covid-19 in order to enter Hungary. If you have any questions or need support regarding organizing your travel, feel free to ask us!

Meeting point

Keszthely train and bus station (it is the same) at 7 pm and 9 pm on the 26th of April, from where the host will bring with a minibus the team in two turns to Esztergályhorváti.

If you arrive by plane in Budapest you have to go to the Déli train station (ca. 1 hour with 100E airport bus and M2 metro), where we suggest reaching a train to Keszthely at 4.35 pm or 6.35 pm. The train from Budapest to Keszthely takes 2,5 hours. After filling the confirmation form we will connect you and formulate small groups for the journey inside of Hungary.

🚉 LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN BUDAPEST

In order to plan your trips, check schedules, buy tickets and use Budapest’s public transport easily, you are advised to download the

How to get to Deák Ferenc square from Budapest Airport (45 min.):

Buy one “airport shuttle bus single ticket”, it costs 2200 HUF

at the ticket machine right in front of the exit or

use BudapestGO mobile application.

Take bus 100E just in front of the exit gate. Don’t forget to validate your ticket on the bus. Get off at the stop called “Deák Ferenc tér”.

Take M2 (red) metro from Deák square (Deák tér) to Déli train station (Déli Pályaudvar)

Remember that you have to validate a single ticket every time you get on a vehicle. You can buy that in the purple machines or through the BudapestGO app for 450 HUF.
