Twilio

Available from the Professional plan

The Twilio integration allows you to easily send WhatsApp messages and SMS. By simply entering your Twilio account information, you can communicate with your users.

Configuring Twilio

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have an active Twilio account with available credits. If you haven't done so yet, sign up on the Twilio website and add credits to your account.

Generating API Keys

To configure Twilio, you will need your Account SID and Auth Token. You can obtain them by following these steps:

Go to the Account Info section on your dashboard.

Note down your Account SID and Auth Token.

Zyllio Configuration

Open your application from the Zyllio Studio.

Go to the Settings tab.

Select the Twilio section.

Enable the integration by clicking on the Enable option.

Copy and paste your Account SID and Auth Token into the corresponding fields.

Using Messaging Actions

Sending WhatsApp Messages

Go to the action editor from a button defined on a screen.

Select the Send WhatsApp action.

Enter the sender's phone number (from phone number).

Enter the recipient's phone number (to phone number) in international format, e.g., +1234567890.

Specify the message you wish to send (message)

Sending SMS

Go to the action editor from a button defined on a screen.

Select the Send SMS action.

Enter the sender's phone number (from phone number).

Enter the recipient's phone number (to phone number) in international format, e.g., +1234567890.

Specify the message you wish to send (message).

Important Notes

The Send WhatsApp and Send SMS actions submit the sending request to Twilio. The Zyllio action is considered successful if the request is properly transmitted, but this does not guarantee that the message is successfully sent by Twilio.

If in doubt, check their statuses in the Twilio Monitoring interface.

Note that some messages may be rejected by the platforms. For example:
