LimeTray’s customers being restaurants will consume SMS for various events falling under either transactional messaging or promotional messaging.
Transactional messaging → OTPs, Order acceptance, Order status update messages, Loyalty expiry reminders, etc.
Promotional Messaging → Targeted campaigns, special offers, etc.
LimeTray acting as Middleware
LimeTray partners with telecom vendors to integrate and purchase SMS credits and in turn LimeTray’s customer’s (restaurants) purchase credits and consume them for their business.
LimeTray makes a small margin out of each purchase made by a customer by charging them at a higher price than that charged to LimeTray by the SMS vendor.
e.g.,
LimeTray purchases 100 credits from Vendor 1 for Rs. 100 @ 1 sms = 1 rupee
Customer X purchases 100 credits from LimeTray. We charge them Rs. 120 for the same @ 1 sms =1.2 rupee
This additional amount is charged for managing the SMS servicing and for the integration that LimeTray has done with the vendors.
