This blog post and image series used the
Stable Diffusion
⁠
algorithm to generate visual art based upon the full text of each Amendment of the
United States Constitution
⁠
.
Elsewhere I continue to explore
similar themes, with drawing
⁠
. However here I thought it could be interesting and provocative to explore this kind of "Constitution-in-the-Loop Art" (or "Art-in-the-Loop Constitution", or however you see it). This was a relatively simple and incipient version of how this type of project could be done; this type of work could be used in many ways. Some related ideas and future areas to develop towards:
The image generation could be higher resolution, explored deeper with random seed selection, and based upon a larger training data set.
Other formats beyond static image could be generated (videos, texts, curriculum, FOIA requests, etc).
The
Library of Congress API
⁠
or other governmental data accessions could be used to generate large prompt libraries composed of e.g. Law, Discourse, News, Speeches, etc.
Along similar lines, prompts could be harvested from the
Constitutions of Web3 project
⁠
by
MetaGov
⁠
.
