First reassure me and show me that you support me.
Be clear and give concrete examples, remember that I often tend to have doubts when the data is imprecise.
Emphasise that your feedback is aimed at strengthening the team and providing more security, rather than questioning me.
Example: “You're a very reliable member of the team. To make things work even more smoothly, let's see how we can adjust this approach”.
My conflict resolution method
I address conflict by seeking clarity and reassurance while working toward solutions. I sometimes second-guess myself or others, worrying about instability or betrayal.
When I’m at my best, I use my loyalty and problem-solving skills to build trust and create cooperative resolutions.
Questions to encourage self-awareness
Do I spend a lot of time anticipating worst-case scenarios or imagining potential dangers?
How often do I seek reassurance or validation from others because I doubt my own judgment?
Do I struggle with trusting others, even when there’s no clear reason to doubt them?
Am I hesitant to make decisions or take action for fear of making a mistake?
Do I test others’ loyalty or intentions, even if it strains the relationship?
Exercises to foster growth and balance
Trust Yourself: Make one decision this week without seeking advice or reassurance. Reflect on how it feels to rely on your own judgment.
Challenge Worst-Case Scenarios: When you feel anxious, write down your worry and list three reasons it may not happen. Reflect on alternative outcomes.
Engage in Relaxation: Practice a calming activity like walking in nature, deep breathing, or a hobby that soothes your mind. Notice the effect on your anxiety.
