Keep your feedback light and forward-looking. Avoid spending too much time on the negative aspects.
Concentrate on what offers new possibilities or creates new opportunities.
Don't make me feel that your suggestions are restrictive, remember that I avoid what I see as confining.
Example: “You bring so much energy and ideas. I think if we focus energy on this part, it could open up even more opportunities for success”.
My conflict resolution method
I try to resolve conflict by focusing on potential solutions and reframing issues positively. I sometimes gloss over deeper problems to maintain my sense of freedom and optimism.
When I’m at my best, I stay present and grounded, bringing creative energy to find meaningful resolutions.
Questions to encourage self-awareness
Do I avoid dealing with uncomfortable emotions by seeking distractions or new experiences?
How often do I overcommit myself, spreading my energy too thin?
Do I have trouble staying present or engaged in the moment because I’m already thinking about the next exciting thing?
Am I reluctant to face limits, routines, or responsibilities that might feel restrictive?
Do I reframe challenges too quickly to avoid confronting deeper issues?
Exercises to foster growth and balance
Stay Present: During a meal or conversation, test your capacity to focus entirely on the experience without planning what’s next. Reflect on how it feels to stay engaged.
Commit Fully: Choose one task or activity and see it through to completion before starting something new. Notice the satisfaction of finishing.
Embrace Stillness: Spend 10 minutes each day sitting quietly without distractions. Reflect on how it feels to be still and present with yourself.
