Course Description

We live in a rapidly changing world. The new administration has come with a lot of upheaval, but it’s important to understand that some things are built to last. In this course, we’ll discuss how policy still gets made in a time of political gridlock and dissent - the people and institutions who make it, how they organize themselves, what factors they consider, and what they overcome to get the job done. We will also discuss how certain changes, like the emergence of a wide-sweeping new technology, can present opportunities, challenges, and considerations for existing institutions in adapting to a new world.
