Master Shortlet Checklist


General
Sanitize Surfaces: Wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant, including doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls.
Dust all surfaces, including window sills, light fittings, furniture, and electronic devices.
Vacuum carpets and rugs, ensuring to reach under beds and behind furniture. Vacuum upholstery.
Clean all windows and mirrors until streak-free.
Empty and disinfect all garbage bins.
Replace liners and ensure extra bags are available.
Restock Essentials: Ensure ample supplies of toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, handwash, bodywash, and other consumables.
Water plants if required
Bedroom
Dust all surfaces, including window sills, light fittings, top of cupboard, drawers, curtain rail, furniture, and photo frames.
Dust baseboards
Vacuum carpet and mop floors; Make sure corners & edges are clean.
Change bed linens, pillowcases, and duvet covers with fresh, laundered sets. Make beds hotel-style with towels laid out on them.
Pillow Fluffing: Fluff pillows and arrange neatly.
Closet Check: Ensure the closet is clean, organized and hangers are available.
Bathroom
Sanitize Fixtures: Thoroughly clean and disinfect surfaces, sink, and shower/bath.
Wipe glass and squeegee
Clean inside & outside of toilet. Clean the base & lid.
Clean mirrors, faucets, and chrome fixtures to a shine.
Empty and disinfect bin, replace liner.
Dust skirtings
Tidy medicine cabinet
Replace Towels: Provide clean bath towels and hand towels.
Refill Supplies: Check and refill toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash if provided.
Mop the floor with a disinfecting cleaner, paying attention to corners.
Kitchen / Kitchen Diner
Dust lights, windowsill & ledges
Clean inside and outside of microwave
Wipe down appliances
Clean stove burners, stovetop, and its control panels
Wipe inside oven (Deep clean must be booked separately)
Clean, dry and sanitize countertops and sink.
Wipe furniture, tables, and chairs
Clean front of all cabinets and handles
Ensure cupboards are neat & presentable
Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors
Empty and disinfect garbage bin and replace liner
Clean inside refrigerator: Empty completely and dispose all contents of fridge and freezer (For mid-stay cleaning, don’t dispose the contents)
Replace water in ice tray
Clean counters & backsplash
Empty dishwasher
Ensure all dishes are clean and neatly arranged.
Put out a clean dishtowel and new dish sponge
Restock Supplies: Check levels of dish soap, sponges, and kitchen towels.
Ensure washer/dryer are empty; clean out the lint trap (if applicable)
Living Room (with Sleeper Couch where applicable)
Furniture Dusting: Dust all surfaces, including TV and any electronics.
Dust baseboards
Sofa Bed Preparation: Check sleeper couch for cleanliness and functionality.
Linen Change: Strip and replace all bed linens with fresh sets if required.
Fluff pillows and neatly arrange throws or blankets
Floor Cleaning: Vacuum carpet and mop hardwood floors.
Outdoor Space
Wipe down any outdoor furniture.
Sweep the area and remove leaves or other debris.
Final Checks
Functional Check: Ensure all lights, appliances, and electronics are working.
Inventory Check: Quick inventory to ensure nothing is missing or damaged.
Aesthetic Check: A final walkthrough to ensure the space is inviting and ready for guests.
