Flavor Spots

Overview

Pobrecito_Flavor Spot 1.png
Pobrecito uses shapes that punctuate the bold flavors that they serve. They’re geometric shapes used as masks, borders, or marks that have the same giddy jaggedness as the wordmark.

Construction

A folder containing various Flavor Spot files have been included in the turnover. These need to be drawn in a similar manner in order to keep the key visual elements consistent.
1) Draw - Draw a shape in Adobe Illustrator.

2) Apply “Roughen” Effect - Go to Effect > Distort & Transform > Roughen. Play around with the Size and Detail to create a craggier version of your original shape.

You can play around with the roughen effect, resize and/or duplicate the shape/s to create patterns. You may also choose any of the brand colors to fill in the shape, or even choose to use it in its outlined form.

Recommended Use

They may be used to mask photos or used as small patterns.

Misuse

Do not merge or overlap the shapes.

Avoid using too little or too much of the “roughen” effect. The shape should still be identifiable.
