Casey replied that SacRT is interested in a permanent arrangement.
“After alternating vacations I got word back on our legal team in terms of a permanent contract for us to move forward with. They are fine with everything we have now with the exception of the fixed monthly payment. Our fare structure does not allow for this type of financial arrangement longterm. She proposed a couple of options that could work and I want to run them by you. Essentially we need to charge your students for an existing fare equivalent (single ride or daily pass). From an implementation perspective it means $1.25 per activation by your students or $3.50 per day for each student who activates a ticket regardless of the number of activations within the day. Based on your sales volume you are getting a 50% discount off of the purchase price (same as when you were buying paper tickets).
Additionally we'd need access to be able to run a report ourselves to confirm the bill total and send it your way. Let me know if this approach is amenable to your team and we can start moving forward. I've got to take this to our 8/26 Board meeting so we've got a couple weeks to wrap everything up.”
