This is meant to communicate that just as God has gathered us together, he also sends us out back into the world as his people. Worship does not end at the conclusion of our gathered service. In fact, that is when our service in the world begins. We close our gathered service with an exhortation to represent Christ in the world and a scriptural reminder of God's blessing on us as we go.
