The Heidelberg Catechism

The Heidelberg Catechism doctrinal document that originated in the Reformed tradition during the Protestant Reformation. It was written in 1563 in Heidelberg, Germany, by a group of theologians led by Zacharias Ursinus and Caspar Olevianus. It's structured in a question-and-answer format and provides a systematic and comprehensive explanation of Christian doctrine. Its opening question offers these comforting words to express confidence in Christ: "I am not my own, but belong—body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ."
