The first Sunday of Holy Week is commonly called "Palm Sunday," which focuses on the entry of Christ into Jerusalem to waving palm branches and shouts of "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" (John 12:13). As we worship together, consider the irony of this day. We remember this as the day on which Jesus entered the city in triumph, but it also a part of his journey to the cross.
