It's tempting to view the offertory as an awkward, antiquated commercial time-out during the service. But at Trinity, we include the offertory as part of our liturgy intentionally. Like prayer and singing, the offertory is another means of responding to God, in His presence. It's a real and tangible opportunity for us to acknowledge that everything we have is His.
