Why don't we turn down the house lights while we sing? While there may be some good reasons to turn them off, it ultimately sends an unhelpful message. As we sing together, we are deepening the relationships we enjoy with one another through the gospel. That involves seeing one another! We don't want anyone to focus solely on the stage, disregarding those gathered around them. This morning, look around as you sing and be encouraged by redeemed saints surrounding you! (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16; Ps. 108:1-3; Ps. 34:3)
