Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence

The original Greek text of this song may date back to the fifth century. It is believed to have been written by St. James the Less, the first bishop of Jerusalem. It expresses awe at Christ's incarnation and relishes in his majestic victory over sin. It also emphasizes Christ giving of himself as spiritual nourishment for his people, which makes it doubly appropriate as we observe communion together today.
