Your receipt will be magically turned into a row in your expenses table. A number of fields will be automatically populated for you!
The file is a required field, but the other fields are optional in case you want to include them yourself. The Mindee software will try it’s best to extract the Category and Currency, but I’ve found that it isn’t always perfect so it’s better to just add them here.
Currency is useful for me because I’m traveling a lot, but if you’re using one single currency all the time, then you can make a small update to your document and auto-populate this field.
The memo field is just for you to leave a little note about this expense! I usually write something like “2 movie tickets to Avengers” or “Airplane tickets from Penang to Bali”.
