Feedly
General Information on Feedly
news aggregator application
very easy to setup the free mode → just connect Google account and start using
quickly getting almost useless without Pro version
no Google News feeds/ twitter news feeds, Newsletters etc.
advertisement is making the curation worthless in free version
usable on Computer & Mobile
Dark/Light Mode
sources are sorted together by selected topic
(some) texts are extracted from the sourced and visualized in a more ‘readable’ view(e.g. a link from a twitter post)
you have different sections at Feedly
a Feed → aggregated list of articles out of selected sources
a Board → list of the favorite article(selected by you)
a Leo Priority → a list of articles filtered by selected topics/ etc.
a Read Later section → here you see all articles you marked as ‘read later’
a Annotated section → here you see all articles you highlighted or annotated
a Today section → aggregated list of todays articles
Export functionalities
facebook, instapaper, oneNote, Pocket, evernote
Leo → AI research Assistant
functionalities
uses machine learning and NLP to filter out the noise
prioritizes the more relevant articles
Mute filters
only available for Pro+ users($8,25/month)
Using Business version:
Leo only usable after onboarding communication with account manager
After contacting the support to activate Leo on the account I can finally test it out.
you can
prioritize
topics(keywords, companies, products) → searches for those selected words in whole article
Business events(product launches, funding events, partnerships, leadership changes),
Industries(biopharma, retail, travel, etc.),
like Board(articles that fit the ones on your fav article board) (OR/AND/NOT)
say Leo to ‘show less articles like this one’ and select why
duplicate
something else
shows definitely less content(more curated) than your original feed list (original: 1K+; Leo: 19)
highlights the words in text, that were searched for/curated by
sometimes it says that there are 4 articles to read, but Leo only shows 1(not completely worked out)
