This is a Playable (your edits won’t be saved) version of the Framework I built out for Shopify. The original version is still used regularly by every Sourcer w/n TA.

Much of the functionality, search histories, user options, etc. have been hidden. Having said that you can still get a very good sense of the flexibility and power that

sourcing solutions can bring to the table.

Why do we need a Sourcing Framework? How is this better than Linkedin Recruiter, etc.?

Speeds up your searches, gives you more precise results, tracks quality over time, speeds up and formalized competitive intel on target companies that are aligned with our space and stack.

Most importantly, it allows us to share our efforts in an open format with our Hiring Managers, Sr. Talent Leadership, etc.

And, as our Hiring Managers have proven, they are quite effective at Sourcing candidates if we give them open access to tools that “make sense” to them.

What type of companies should be added?

Major tech companies, eCommerce, SaaS, PaaS, fintech, payments, companies stemming from Hiring Manager Submittals or that employ 4-5 star short-list candidates who have went through the interview process.

Region options

There are 3 regions in the dropdown below to choose from: APAC, EMEA, and NORAM. To remove California, for example, use a NOT operator

Operators

The “AROUND” operator is very powerful. It is a “proximity” search operator and allows you to search for words or phrases with X number of words of one another. Remember to use the # column when using AROUND to set the distance.

Nesting (boolean strings w/n individual cells)

Please use nesting in the Keywords section but not in Title searches.
