Job Summary

We are looking to expand our Global Systems Development team in the UK. This role would suit someone looking to start their career in the world of IT DevOps.
You will shadow the Global DevOps team and help to help document and develop web and software solutions for internal and customer use; including our Six Star:Manage Hospitality IT Management Platform.
This is a remote position, and the successful candidate would be working from home.
An interest in business operations would be beneficial but not essential.
The Global Development team operate between the hours of 7am and 3pm UK time, and you will be required to work a 5 hour shift between these hours, plus an hour lunch break.
The candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Job Requirements

You may be required to learn, utilise, and develop competency in a variety of areas such as;
Agile project management
low-code/no-code development
and workflow automation
as well as tools and systems such as;
Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans & Artifacts)
AWS (EC2, Lightsail, S3, SES)
Docker
PostgreSQL
Portainer
ITGlue
Coda.io
n8n.io

We appreciate you may not have experience in all of these areas on day one, but what is more important for us is your appetite to learn. We are looking for people who have a passion for these subjects, and someone who can show a desire to build their skills and make a difference.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

Training in Azure DevOps, AWS, coda.io and n8n.io
Completion of relevant certifications and training.
Work with the business and development team to understand and document requirements for solution deployment.
Research any new tools and technologies in your area of specialisation.
Maintain an awareness of how software and systems integrate and operate with each other and with business processes to best meet the requirements of Six Star’s and our customer’s business operations and objectives.
Support the wider business where required.

Basic IT skills: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Email and Web
Have the ability to be resourceful and able to research, gather and distribute information as necessary
