Chapter 3

“I can just have Hor Wei send some of this men.”
“At this time she doesn’t know she’s been caught. I think it would be smarter to indirectly bring her straight to him.”
Adreas leaned back in the large leather chair, the drink in his hand looking small and dainty as the large man occasionally ought it to his lips and drank it all down. Leaning forward he firmly set the glass down on the small table to the side of him and looked at his son.
Cyn watched his father before he leaned forward as well, resting both elbows on his knees he looked his father in the eye. “We don’t know who she is or what she is capable of, it would be better if she was moving around willingly, and if I am the one that brings her he will see that you took his demands seriously.”
Adrea’s jaw tensed as he thought it over, “Whether or not I believe that . . . I know it is just smarter so go. Take her to Goldspire and make sure the Hor Wei gets whatever it is he wants.” he stated firmly.
That was easier then expected. Cyn didn’t like that, but for now he would have to take care of one issue first. The girl.
“There is someone different here, little one. You need to get up now.” Nessa frowned as she tried to open her eyes, they felt heavy, too heavy and she almost felt like she was swaying with a gentle breeze. Her breathing hitched slightly and she felt the swaying stop as she fought through the darkness to try and open her eyes. Finally, she clawed her way to the light and her eyes shot open as she caught the breath she didn’t know she had been holding. Sitting up on her elbows she panted softly as she looked around the dark room. Finally she was no longer deafened by her breathing and she heard soft snores from the corner.
Sitting up full, she let her arms fall in her lap as she closed her eyes and waited for her racing heart to calm down.
